READ ONLY MODE

I am tired of removing all that spam form my forum. So I switched it to read-only mode: It's not allowed anymore to add any new messages. Someday, I might install a new forum here which offers me better ways to keep out spam.
I'm sorry, but I've really had it.

----------

My eyes aren't as good as they used to be. It's time for me to up the font size -- and at the same time I'm working on a large high-res monitor. So I have lots of pixels that I can use to display a larger font.

I move back and forth from linux to windows to mac and take my development environment with me (emacs.) Is there a combination of font and face configuration that will give me a font for programming like ProFont that I can scale up on screen and apply formatting to (italic, bold, ...)? Right now I'm predominantly on windows.

I'm in a similar situation. I use 1920x1200 on my dev machine (windows) and need the fonts to be a bit larger.
I would love to see some larger sizes supported by these wonderful fonts you guys have made.
Bold and italic would also be very useful.

What apps do you prefer to use for editing fonts (windows)? I may give it a go if there's no plans to do this...

Sorry, there are no ProFont sizes other that 7, 9, 10, 12, 14, 18, 24 (on MacOS -- remember that Windows size are off by 1).
And no bold or italic versions as well.

If somebody would like to create this versions -- well, I guess there'd be lots of people who'd be very happy...

I don't know any bitmap font editors for Windows except Softy:

ProFont is a very hard face to make bold/italic versions for, simply because of the small size of it. Some programs make it faux bold (at least on Linux), but that doesn't make it look very good (the letters run into each other). Italic is even worse...
